As of 10:51 AM, CDT, I am no longer tired, I am retired. Today was my last day on the job. I hope now to have more time to spend in the shop (and here, of course). Oh the projects!!!

2 x 4 Challenge: I'm done (I'm finished)
Ok, it’s over. I was unable to pull off my project. I was making a full-scale soprano ukulele. 2×4 material does not bend without splitting, cracking and scorching. I enclose the following picture of the neck just to show I was serious....

My Winter Awards 2008 entry
Not much of a first entry, but I got my 2×4 today. I darned near grabbed a ten footer by mistake, but it looked too long. Wanting to strictly adhere to the rules I replaced it with a standard stud. I won’t get much done before Christmas...

I checked out your projects and they are all great. Sometimes I get jealous seeing all the nice wood everyone els uses because I never buy any wood and only use what I have milled. O well, maybe some day.
