From a recommendation of a Fellow Lumberjock ( Sorry Don’t remember who ) I decided to try this sandpaper. It is one of the best prices around that I could find and I needed to restock a bunch all at once. I bought 40,80,100,120,150,180,220 & 320 grits, all 50 per box. I have recently discovered a product called Crystalac Grain Filler (Rockler, Amazon). It is water based, easy to apply, dries clear and will fill open grain woods like Oak, Walnut, and Koa in 2 or 3 coats. It is the consistency of loose toothpaste and costs about $25/qt. But a quart will last a loooooong time. IMHO, it is hands down the best grain filler I have ever used. I have been getting a few questions about the Thien Cyclones I have been building, and figured I would write a quick review of them, and try to answer the questions I see about them.. I have been using wipe-on poly on all of the Mission/Arts & Crafts, until the most recent project ... I saw this link via the wood whisperer website. This company, Stockroom Supply (www.stockroomsupply.com) sells the parts to built a face sanding drum sander. Granted its not the full blown thickness sander, but this method suits my needs better. One of the things that really gets to me with the current trend to Lith-Ion batteries is that so many perfectly good tools are being trashed because buying a new drill with a new charger and 2 new batteries is not much more money that just buying replacement batteries.
