X-Men Bunk Bed #3: Assembling the Circle-X Panels
Fits and Starts The last couple weeks have been crowded with both personal and professional activities. I’ve had to work in found time, an hour here, an hour there. My next task was to fit the upper and lower bouts of the “X”s...

Wow…
Thank you all for the warm reception. I stumbled upon this site by accident and was immediately impressed by the tech (being a programmer/sysadmin/tech exec for a liviing) but am even more impressed with the immediate feedback and support.
With two small children at home it’s been very difficult to participate in-person in our local woodworking clubs (2 close by)...so I’m thrilled to find such a vibrant online community to participate in!
Thanks!

Thanks! I’ve been chronicling my work on my own blog for some time now…mainly for friends and family. I just found this site yesterday and think it’s just about the best community based site (any topic) out there—and I just had to contribute to it.
I’m glad you enjoyed—I know I’ve already gotten a tons of ideas for future pieces from many of the members here. The project gallery is just awesome and there’s a lot of very talented folks posting here.

Not sure why I didn’t noticed you lived so close to me when I first saw the pictures of the bar that you built… very cool to know there are LJs nearby! I have family in Plainfield and my wife, son and I are looking to buy/build something in the Frankfort/New Lenox area … just so you know I will be borrowing some of your design details when I build a bar in our new house .. no sense in repeating what I built in the current one!

I actually have one fluresent light over my bench, and a work light I use for the other side of the shop, as well as a small incondecent light in the middle of the basement. It is actually pretty bright when you have the work light on, but I didn’t in the video otherwise the lens gets all strange and you can see a all the specs on the camera. I wish I had one or even two more fluresents for the shop, but my dad doesn’t want a ton a pull string ones and he is to lazy to wire it. LOL. for now the work light does pretty well.

You’ve been here longer than I have, but I’m just now finding your site, thanks to HomeRefurbers. I really like the way you have a step by step progress on your web site. I don’t think I’ve seen that before. You’ve got some really nice projects posted and thanks for posting.
