My nick name is an old English term for a carpenter.
I come from a long line of wood workers for example my great, great, great uncle Louis Shickluna He was from the isle of Malta and built ships there. He moved to port Colburn Ontario Canada and there continued his ship building .He built more ships on the great lakes than any other ship builder. Most of the ships he built were done by dead reckoning .He built a famous ship the Jennie Gramham.There is a song about her and she sunk in sixty feet of water and strangely enough was never found. My cousin is a master craftsman and worked for Kitinger Furniture witch made most of the furniture for the White House. I try hard to keep up the family tradition as best as I can but I am not quite on the level of my uncle or cousin. Glad to be aboard (pun intended) Lumber jocks and if I can spread any knowledge at all it will be a pleasure. Scott Grant.
